White metal Soldering is one thing I have always wanted to try, so one Weller 15w soldering iron later gave it a go.
Main tips were to clean the surfaces to be joined, use plenty of flux, quick in and out with the iron.
So using a cheap 3mm white metal van kit, I solder one together with the resulting pictures
Lessons learned , yes use plenty of flux (white metal one on order) and to use the right temperature solder (used 145 instead of 70, again on order). Quick in and out with the iron (you can see I lingered to long with subsequent hole in the van end, filled with solder).
I then went on to use the same for a white metal buffer stop, soldered one side the other needs the buffer stop drilling to complete.
Would I try some more, yes I would.
